The “Accidental Tourist”

Hello, my name is Glenn, the “Accidental Tourist”. Welcome to my photography page! I’ve selected some of my favorite photos from down the street and around the globe for you. I’ve been a photographer for most of my adult life. A few years ago, I began to take this art form a bit more seriously.

For decades, I owned an Olympus OM 1 (I still do). In 2010 I transitioned to digital photography, using a Nikon D60 I found on Craigslist. While inexpensive, it taught me valuable lessons about the basics and of course the Nikon brand. Imagine getting a new camera and within days, going on a trip to Switzerland? It was a magical trip: The Swiss Alps, The Montreux Jazz Festival, and the amazing intersection of cultures. Let’s not forget me falling down an up bound escalator while trying to save my tripod! I shot most of the photos in automatic mode, purely out of fear of messing something up! It’s still one of those experiences I wish to revisit…
